A School Magazine (স্কুল ম্যাগ্যাজিন)
A school magazine is an annual publication of the school. That contains the literary writings of the students and teachers. It is mostly written and contributed by the students. It's a forum through which our juvenile learners can get the opportunity to express the green ideas of their mind. Financially solvent almost every school publishes a school magazine every year. Both teachers and students write in it. Generally poems, short stories, articles, jokes, one-act play, riddles etc are published in the magazine. To conduct the work of publication of the magazine, a magazine committee is formed with the headmaster as the chairman and chief patron. The headmaster selects an editor from among the teachers. The editor at first invites writings from the teachers and the students for the magazine. After proper scrutiny and correction the best ones are selected and sent to the press for printing. The school magazine helps the young learners and writers to develop their latent faculties. It helps them develop their power of thinking and writing. It offers the students opportunities to become a writer and a poet in later life. In fact, the school magazine is the first stepping stone for the future writers. A young learner really feels proud and happy when he finds his writing in the magazine.

স্কুল ম্যাগাজিন হচ্ছে স্কুলে বার্ষিকী প্রকাশ। এতে শিক্ষার্থী ও শিক্ষকদের সাহিত্য বিষয়ক লেখা থাকে। এটা প্রধানত ছাত্রছাত্রীদের দ্বারাই লেখা হয়। স্কুল ম্যাগাজিন সংগঠন যার মাধ্যমে আমাদের কিশোর শিক্ষার্থীরা তাদের মনের সবুজ ও সতেজ ধারণাগুলোর পরিস্ফুটন ঘটানোর সুযোগ পায়। আর্থিকভাবে সচ্ছল প্রায় সব স্কুলই প্রতিবছরই স্কুল ম্যাগাজিন প্রকাশ করে। ছাত্র ও শিক্ষক উভয়ই এতে লেখে। সচরাচর কবিতা, ছোট গল্প, প্রবন্ধ, কৌতুক, একাঙ্কিকা, ধাঁধা ইত্যাদি ম্যাগাজিনে প্রকাশিত হয়ে থাকে। ম্যাগাজিনের মুদ্রণ কাজ দেখাশুনা করার জন্য প্রধান শিক্ষককে চেয়ারম্যান ও প্রধান পৃষ্ঠপোষক করে একটি ম্যাগাজিন কমিটি তৈরি করা হয়। প্রধান শিক্ষক অন্যান্য শিক্ষকদের মধ্য থেকে একজন সম্পাদক বেছে নেন। সম্পাদক সর্বপ্রথম ছাত্রছাত্রী ও শিক্ষকদের কাছে লেখা আহ্বান করেন। ভালোভাবে যাচাই-বাছাই ও পরীক্ষা-নিরীক্ষার পর সবচেয়ে ভালো লেখাগুলো নির্বাচন করা হয় এবং মুদ্রণের জন্য প্রেসে পাঠানো হয়। স্কুল ম্যাগাজিনের মাধ্যমে ক্ষুদে শিক্ষার্থীদের সুপ্ত প্রতিভার বিকাশ ঘটে। এতে তাদের চিন্তার ও লেখার ক্ষমতার বিকাশ ঘটে। এর ফলে শিক্ষার্থীরা পরবর্তী জীবনে লেখক ও কবি হবার জন্য সুযোগ পায়। আসলে ভবিষ্যৎ লেখক তৈরি করার জন্য স্কুল ম্যাগাজিন হচ্ছে প্রথম পদক্ষেপ। ক্ষুদে শিক্ষার্থীরা যখন তাদের লেখা ম্যাগাজিনে মুদ্রিত আকারে দেখে, তখন তারা সত্যি সত্যিই গর্ববোধ করে ও খুশি হয়।
